Homemade oven cleaner recipe is to spread about a ¼ inch layer of baking soda (soda crystals) on the bottom of the oven and cover with a damp tea towel.  Leave overnight. Oven cleaning tips  – the racks

When cleaning oven racks, sprinkle over the oven racks with baking soda, then douse them with vinegar. Once the foaming stops, submerge the racks in hot water and let sit overnight, perhaps in a bath that has been protected with a towel which lies under the racks.  It is best if the water completely covers the racks and that water must be extremely hot to get the best oven cleaning results. A final tip by this method is to add either bio laundry detergent or dishwasher detergent.  It is the enzymes in these products that get every part of an oven really clean.  Of course those metal oven shelves (as opposed to the racks) can also be cleaned with this oven cleaning tip or a combination of our oven cleaning tips.

After doing the above, your oven racks should be beautiful and sparkly clean. If not…
