SelClene Ltd, 1a Park House , 2 Edwin Hall Place , Hither Green Lane , London SE13 6RN

Your SelClene cleaner will be fairly local to your home.  This ensures that physically getting to work does not become a problem for them.  Every one of the 300+ cleaners on our database has been through our stringent selection process.  Our recruitment process is ongoing and we have never been complacent enough to believe that we have enough cleaners for our client base.  We are striving always to recruit and train new staff.

Reliability - If our cleaners commit to work they have to be able to make the same commitment each week on a long term basis.  We look out for and avoid factors in people’s lives that may cause them to become unreliable.  For example, inadequate child cover or increased studies.

Trust & Honesty - The majority of our cleaners are working alone and unsupervised in our clients’ homes.  They have to be able to reassure both ourselves and our clients that they have integrity.

Motivation - As cleaning and ironing on a part-time basis is NOT the career choice of most people, we need to ensure that our cleaners have a real and valid reason for wanting this type of work.  This usually means that there are restrictions on their availability to have a full-time job.

We appreciate that the availability of good quality cleaners is dynamic.  It is essential that we always have enough staff ready and prepared for our new clients.  Therefore, we have adopted an ongoing recruitment drive.  We spend a huge amount of time, effort and care ensuring that we have staff available at a moments notice.

Every cleaner goes through a very stringent telephone interview, after which the selected candidates are invited to meet us here at SelClene.

Once someone manages to get through to our interview stage there are certain processes that we go through:

The importance of reliability, honesty, timekeeping, using initiative and thoroughness of work at all times.

Health and safety at work.

Cleaning advice, monthly cleaning and product knowledge.

Relationships with their clients and SelClene.

SelClene rules and regulations.

Also including in the interview are two information training videos.

After each interview applicants are expected to complete a written test based on the literature.

Each interview will last approximately 1 ½ hours, during which we check all compulsory documents, including proof of address, ID and written references.

Each applicant signs a contract to say that they will stay working with us for no less than one year (to offer continuity of service to our clients)

The applicant will be trained on all aspects of their role including:
